4-18 Prayer for Mike By Gloria Barotta (Aunt Glo)

As I thought about what I could "DO" during this time of searching, the only thing I could think of was to provide as much encouragement to those "on the ground" in Cali and those of us at home. When I look for encouragement, I go to scripture. So every day, I'll send a verse and a bit of commentary and a prayer. I'll keep it short and scanable for us blackberry users.

The omnipresence of God
The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Pv 15:3

As search helicopters and airplanes took off yesterday afternoon to search for Mike, I was reminded that our God sees all things. He misses nothing. Not only that, He knows all things. And even more comforting, He is in all places. While each of us can only be in one place at a time, God is present everywhere, seeing all, knowing all. And most importantly, BEING in all places. That means God is with Mike. And God is with Lisa and the team in Cali. And God is with those all over the country who are working to bring Mike home.

Nothing escapes God's gaze.

Lord, you see all things. You are all knowing, all powerful. Please show us where Mike is. Please lead those searching for Mike, through the power of your spirit, to where he is. Give them eyes to see, wisdom, and discernment. Jesus watch over Mike. Keep our ground team safe. Amen

MIKE IS MISSING PLEASE HELP US FIND HIM

My brother in law, Michael Edwards, had taken a job assignment with Trustaff, a traveling nurse agency out of Cincinnati, OH in late March. He arrived for his first placement in Ridgecrest, CA Thursday April 10th from McKinney, Tx. When he arrived, he checked into the apartment they had arranged for him to live in. He was getting all of his paperwork together in hopes of beginning work at Ridgecrest Hospital by April 15th. On Sunday April 13th, he had called his wife and young daughter (8yrs) to check in and recap his plans. He was going to run a few errands to get ready for his trip to the Board of Nurses for his California Certifications. Then he planned to get some rest and then leave around 2:30 AM for Sacramento. That call was made at 1:47pm on Sunday California time. He had talked to his neighbor and reiterated his plans to her as he was checking a map. He did use his charge card at Walmart and stopped to withdraw $100 from the Bank of America ATM at 2:56pm. He also got about $43.00 in gas. That was the last phone call he made on his cell phone and the last charges/debits he made from any card.

We filed a missing person's report with the Kern County Sheriff's office.
